Ibogaine Treatment

IBOGAINE (12-methoxyibogamine) is one of several alkaloids presents at the root of Tabernanthe iboga or simply iboga, native of West Central Africa. NORIBOGAINE its active metabolite (12-hydroxy-ibogamine) arises from the transformation of IBOGAINE to pass through the liver.

The development of neuroscience has been accelerated in the last 20 years. With the emergence of imaging technology and functional images such as brain mapping or functional MRI, we have a better understanding of active regions in our brain in different circumstances and we can explain better different brain diseases and better techniques and medications have been developed to treat them.

About Ibogaine

IBOGAINE acts on multiple systems of neurotransmission and neuronal circuits by adhering to multiple receptors in the brain-like acetylcholine receptors, dopamine, serotonin receptors, Opioid receptors like Mu and Kappa, NMDA glutamate receptor type.

More about Ibogaine...

By inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin so that the amounts of this neurotransmitter increase sharply in the brain and because of it, it is useful for the treatment of depressive states. This increased concentration of serotonin in the brain increases the functioning of the prefrontal lobes of the brain, reducing the impulsiveness of addicted patients, since the prefrontal lobes act as a natural brake to behavior or impulses originated in deeper brain structures. IBOGAINE increases the release of glial-derived neurotrophic factor cells (GDNF) which is a powerful suppressant of alcohol consumption and prevents relapses.

Beyond the nucleus accumbens and dopamine

Recent studies show that prolonged exposure to addictive substances such as those mentioned occur in neurons expression of genes that normally remain dormant in normal people, which makes it even more complex recuperative process, however, apparently IBOGAINE achieved to regulate and reverse this gene expression by mechanisms unclear to date.

Finally, IBOGAINE has shown effectiveness in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in both civilian and military populations. Hypotheses explaining such effects are varied but are mainly focused on: A rebalance of the brain interhemispheric activity, recomposition of brain tonsillar structures, and the stages of REM sleep induced by IBOGAINE, in which great neuronal plasticity exists like shown in the human fetus brain causes a functional and structural restoration, in brain structures responsible for the memories, normal sleep architecture and emotions.

Advanced Neuroscience + Neuropharmacology Treatment

Neuropharmacology Ibogaine is complex and is still being studied, but definitely, its correct use produce successful results in most patients. We know they are multi-causal diseases that affect not just a person but better a group, which makes them more difficult to treat.

They are chronic conditions because it infiltrates the long-term memory, and put apart what is useful and what is not is impossible for now, but these diseases can go into remission as other chronic diseases. Our therapeutic experience and first-hand IBOGAINE, having used it for experimental and research purposes multiple times allows us to be sure we have one of the best answers until now, and we want to share this hope with all people who daily suffering from these ailments.

Model of treatment

Since the beginning, we made the exchange of medical and psychological information with our patients to determine eligibility for treatment with IBOGAINE. And we evaluate their intention to change according to Prochaska and Di Clemente change model.

Depending on their condition, patients are stabilized by possible acute withdrawal, restitution of liquids and electrolytes; we checked the intestinal toilette and other previous procedures. EKG is performed as needed, before, during and after the treatment, and complete medical evaluation is done, plus liver profile, drugs panel, and some other examination according to the criteria of the medical director. In our model, the entire therapeutic administration of Ibogaine procedure is performed in a medically safe environment.

Pre-treatment

First contacts to exchange medical and psychological information, answer questions, and set a particular plan.

Evaluation

Full medical evaluation, EKGs, and other lab studies.

Treatment

Administration of high purity HCl Ibogaine in a hospital setting according to specific protocols.

Monitoring

Monitored process by medical and paramedical hospital staff, personal trained nurse and medical director.

Follow up Phase

Reinforcements with ibogaine (boosters), coaching for the development of social skills, stress management and proper management of painful emotions. Correct treatment of Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (P.A.W.) and other neuropsychiatric conditions.
